In the garden of a century-old kominka in Shinshu, Nagano, the hanamomo — flowering peach — blooms each spring with quiet, unhurried grace. Its slender leaves, delicate yet persistent, became the motif of this piece.

Each leaf is cut by hand from a single sheet of brass, then pressed against an ancient stone in the atelier garden and shaped with a hammer. The result is a surface that no machine could create — alive with texture, soft with light.

Nature at Your Throat

The Hanamomo Code Choker brings together three materials that belong to the natural world: brass shaped by garden stone, a freshwater pearl, and a hand-finished cotton cord worn close to the skin. Choose Black for quiet strength, or Khaki for something closer to the earth itself.

The hanamomo leaf rests at the base of the throat — present without demanding attention. The kind of piece you reach for without thinking, and notice only when it is gone.
